In time, I indicated the need for prepress knowledge. Learning from the books, I have overcome the CorelDraw. CorelDraw was my first choice because of the vector drawings, which are needed for prepress. Specifically for my job, that meant that I have encircled one process, from preprint till screen-print. The next logical step was learning to deal with Bitmaps. Slowly, step by step, I dialed with PhotoShop, also. The interest for the PhotoShop was very useful soon, because digital press and electronics media are in advance. Since I knew the principles from different print techniques (screen printing, offset printing, digital printing), and have knowledge for printing machine, through prepress I could take the best from each technique. Small details can be overlooked in prepress, but later can affect the print quality and printing speed. At the beginning I worked prepress only for my needs, but later I started working for the others. At first, only prepress but later complete design. I could not do offset printing, digital printing and vinyl cutting by myself, but I could do the design and prepress and finalize it in some service. Invested time in learning prepress is multiples, it worthwhiled because I could take position as complete graphic artist. At the moment I have part-time work in several companies in Serbia.
